What is Bridge 2 Work?

B2W helps mothers of low socio-economic backgrounds ease back into a working environment. In BC, one in five children live in deep poverty. 83% of single parents who live in poverty are single mothers. Many of these mothers have experienced deep trauma in their lives, so going into a working environment can be difficult. Bridge to work helps these women regain their confidence and preps them for part-time work.

The Problem

The lack of support to the community. Our client has many candidates for work but not enough clients to offer placements.

Businesses have to act as champions and really act in solving our issues.
Not just pay charities to do it, it’s not working that way.
All of our social issues are increasing.

The Challenge

To create a responsive web site that looked sleek and modern in order to attract tech companies and
tech recruiters. Information had to be clear and easy to access. Navigation had to be seamless.

Before and after.
On the left, B2W’s old homepage and on the right, the new design.

The old site, both usability and navigation were poor. The yellow “2” in the logo was lost and hard to read against the purple.
The new design is sleek and modern. Information is accompanied by simple icons. The user can easily read about B2W and their
services quickly and easily. Call to action buttons are clean and clear on each page.
