Daily Dozen App
The Daily Dozen Challenge was created to help more people discover how easy it is to fit some of the healthiest of healthy foods into their daily routine.
The Problem
The Daily Dozen app is excellent. It gets you into the habit of taking the daily recommended fruits, veggies, exercise and vitamin B-12. When the user ticks all of the boxes, you receive feedback which says, great job! It’s a helpful reminder to include more of the good stuff into our daily diet. However, I found it difficult to click some of the buttons, such as info, calendar and the tick boxes. The icons were small and hard to see. As a design challenge, I wanted to recreate this page to improve the experience.
The Solution
Increasing the size of the buttons and icons. Adding more illustrations to each category to make it a fun experience. Some of the illustrations were confusing. For example, beans at first, looked like coffee beans. Both the calendar and information icons are small and hard to click. By increasing the size, and giving them some colour, it allows the user to identify each clearly.
At the top, the menu was three dots. I edited these to look more like a hamburger menu. Users can also click on “21 Tweaks” to look into more ways to increase your wellness. At first, I could not tell that this was a button. I created a CTA button for users to explore the app more. I edited the colour of the ticks to a gold colour. I wanted something that felt more like you were winning or collecting points.
